Thank you for making our D.C. Metro Gathering a success! 

Over 120 incredible supporters of Tina’s Wish gathered at our 2025 D.C. Metro Gathering, raising over $78k for early detection ovarian cancer research! Guests had the opportunity to learn about the need for early detection of ovarian cancer research, the challenges posed by federal funding cuts to scientific research, the impact of research funding cuts on the community, and how we can continue advocating for increased funding in women’s health.

A special thank you to U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan for sharing her personal story of losing her mom to ovarian cancer in 2011. We are grateful to hear from Senator Slotkin, Dr. Chelsea Salyer from Virginia Commonwealth University, and our wonderful D.C. Metro Co-Chair and moderator for the evening, Mary Jo Dowd, for leading the insightful panel discussion. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our wonderful D.C.
