In the spring of 2019, the Tina’s Wish Leadership Council Spring Reception honored the memory of Marin Mazzie, who passed away from ovarian cancer in September 2018. Marin was a critically acclaimed performer, three-time Tony Award nominee and beloved wife, who was taken too soon by this terrible disease. In 2017 Marin was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame, and in 2019 she received a posthumous Special Tony Award for her leadership in the theater community and her advocacy for ovarian cancer awareness.
