THE HONORABLE CECELIA G. MORRIS, Director

Since 2000, Cecelia G. Morris has served as a Judge and as a chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Morris was an Assistant District Attorney in Georgia and also maintained a private legal practice. Judge Morris received her BS from West Texas State University and her JD from John Marshall School of Law. Tina was one of Judge Morris’ mentors when she joined the bench showing her ‘around’ the court. Most importantly to Cecelia, Tina was a dear and trusted friend.

Christopher Marcus is a partner in the Restructuring Group at Kirkland & Ellis. He represents debtors, creditors, equity sponsors, and investors in distressed companies in a wide array of industries, including retail, telecommunications, media, real estate, and manufacturing. Chris was named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” in 2007 by Turnarounds & Workouts. Chris received his BA from Pennsylvania State University and his JD from Hofstra University School of Law. Chris’ mother-in-law, Nadine Fladell, lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2013 after an 8-year battle with the disease.

M. Benjamin Jones is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura and the Global Co-Head of the Turnaround and Restructuring practice. He is a recognized leader in the restructuring profession with more than 20 years of experience advising and participating in complex corporate reorganizations.

Ben received his BS from Wake Forest University. He is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.

Ankura has been a long-time Gala sponsor and Ben served as a Gala co-chair in 2024.

Ben and his wife Shayna have both lost loved ones to cancer and believe strongly in supporting early detection. In addition, as Shayna is an OB/GYN and functional medicine physician, women’s health is front and center in their household.

Julia Frost-Davies is a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig. Julia is past chair of the board of trustees of the Women’s Bar Foundation, and served on the board of editors of the Boston Bar Journal. Julia currently serves as lead outside counsel for New England Law Boston – the first woman to hold this position. Julia received her BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her JD from New England Law Boston. She was privileged to work with Tina at Bingham as she was launching her legal career. Julia is a founding board member.

Evan Fleck, Esq., director

Evan R. Fleck is a partner of Milbank LLP and co-practice group leader and co-head of the firm’s global Financial Restructuring Group. Evan has built a successful, peer-recognized practice advising on a wide range of corporate restructurings and bankruptcies. Representing both debtors and creditors in in-court and out-of-court restructurings, lenders and other strategic parties, he has advised key parties in some of the world’s largest and most complex distressed situations.

Evan earned his BA from The University of Pennsylvania and his JD from Georgetown Law. He has been a featured panelist and lecturer at national conferences and law schools on topics involving distressed situations. He is a member of the Complex Case Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas and a past member of the Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Committee of the New York City Bar Association. In March 2023, he was inducted by The American College of Bankruptcy as a Fellow in the 34th Class of the College.

Lisa Donahue is the Co-Head of the Americas & Asia at AlixPartners. With over two decades in consulting and industry-spanning expertise, Lisa has delivered services across every industry. These include turnaround and restructuring, whole-scale digital and technological transformation, risk management and more. Previous assignments include AeroMexico Airlines, Westinghouse, and PREPA (Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority).

In addition to her leadership responsibilities at AlixPartners, Lisa is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Complex Risks. Lisa is a board member of Tina’s Wish and was honored with the Tina Bronzman Mentoring Award at their annual benefit in 2016.

In addition to her responsibilities at AlixPartners and elsewhere, Lisa is an avid tennis player and reader. She lives in Miami, Florida with her husband and has three children.
