MARCUS FLADELL SUMMER GATHERING

Lanie & Chris Marcus and Deena & Johnny Fladell welcomed over 150 guests at their home on Thursday, July 11th in support of Tina’s Wish and early detection ovarian cancer research. It was a day of wellness with shopping, pilates, a raffle and silent auction, and engaging speakers. Ashley Marcus of the studio started the day with a sculpt class, followed by an exciting panel discussion about the importance of wellness and how to implement healthy changes in your daily life led by Dr. Liz Milbank, Lisa Hayim, and Keri Glassman. In the afternoon, Lauren Grossman shared her inspirational story of resilience.

At Glen Oaks Club, Johnny hosted 41 golfers for an afternoon of lunch, golf, and an awards cocktail reception.

In total, the Marcus Fladell Summer Luncheon and Golf Outing raised $240,000 for scientific research into the early detection and prevention of ovarian cancer. Many thanks to all of the sponsors and everyone who contributed in support of the Marcus & Fladells’ efforts!

This annual event honors the memory of Lanie and Johnny’s late mother, Nadine, who passed away in 2013 from Stage III ovarian cancer at 63 years young. Nadine was a mother, grandmother, friend and confidante. She fought this terrible disease for eight years.
