Jeffery Stegenga, Director

Jeffery “Jeff” Stegenga is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal, and leads its North American Commercial Restructuring practice out of Dallas. Jeff is nationally regarded as a specialist in Chapter 11 restructurings (pre-packaged/pre-arranged/traditional) and distressed financial consulting, focusing primarily on large, company side engagements.

Jeff earned a BS in accountancy from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor (CIRA), a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy.

A&M has been a Tina’s Wish Benefit Committee sponsor since 2010 and Jeff served as Benefit co-chair in 2019.

Bradley “Brad” D. Sharp is the President & CEO of Development Specialists, Inc. with more than 25 years of experience providing crisis management, financial advisory and third party fiduciary services. Brad has advised and operated companies in numerous industries including consumer finance, real estate development, high tech, manufacturing, food and agriculture. He has served as Chief Restructuring Officer as well as Trustee under Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and post-confirmation. Brad is also an expert witness with respect to fiduciary duties, banking, finance and securitizations.

Brad earned a BS in Accounting, with an emphasis in business computer information systems, from Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.

Brad’s first wife Cindy lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2015, only one month after her diagnosis.

Brad Eric Scheler is a senior partner and chairman of the Restructuring and Insolvency Practice at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. Brad received his BA from Lehigh University and his JD from The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Brad serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Lehigh University, including service as Chair of the Board. Brad also served as strategic adviser to the Dean of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, and is Chair Emeritus of the Dean’s Advisory Board. Brad considered Judge Brozman a dear friend and professional colleague and was privileged to appear before her numerous times in the SDNY Bankruptcy Court.

Meaghan Repko is a Partner at Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, a leading strategic financial communications and investor relations firm. Meaghan provides strategic corporate, financial and crisis communications counsel to Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams of public corporations and private equity firms involved in a wide range of ongoing and special situations, including transactions, bankruptcies and restructurings, litigation support and shareholder activism.

Meaghan earned a BA from Hood College. She received the M&A Advisor’s “40 Under 40” Recognition Award in 2018.

Meaghan chairs the Communications Board Committee.

THE HONORABLE CECELIA G. MORRIS, Director

Since 2000, Cecelia G. Morris has served as a Judge and as a chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Morris was an Assistant District Attorney in Georgia and also maintained a private legal practice. Judge Morris received her BS from West Texas State University and her JD from John Marshall School of Law. Tina was one of Judge Morris’ mentors when she joined the bench showing her ‘around’ the court. Most importantly to Cecelia, Tina was a dear and trusted friend.

CHRISTOPHER MARCUS, ESQ., Director

Christopher Marcus is a partner in the Restructuring Group at Kirkland & Ellis. He represents debtors, creditors, equity sponsors, and investors in distressed companies in a wide array of industries, including retail, telecommunications, media, real estate, and manufacturing. Chris was named an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer” in 2007 by Turnarounds & Workouts. Chris received his BA from Pennsylvania State University and his JD from Hofstra University School of Law. Chris’ mother-in-law, Nadine Fladell, lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2013 after an 8-year battle with the disease.
