What a night! Over 260 guests joined us for the Boston Building Hope event and helped us raise $253K+ for ovarian cancer research!
We were deeply moved by a heartfelt tribute honoring the beautiful legacy of Elle Simone Scott — a beloved member of our Boston Committee — written by her dear friend Jack Bishop and presented by Joyce Kulhawik. Elle’s spirit and passion will forever be felt in everything we do.
We were also so proud to present the Excellence in Scientific Leadership Award to Joyce Liu, MD, MPH, presented by Board Chair Amy Kyle. Dr. Liu’s dedication to ovarian cancer research is truly inspiring and we are so honored to recognize her incredible work.
This year also marked the return of our Hope Hub for its second year — a beloved space for attendees to connect, learn, and take action. Guests engaged with research teams from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and MIT, explored educational resources from What to Know Down Below®, made custom bracelets for ovarian cancer research with the Coccoluto Family, and connected with Lauren Pfeifer of Untethered.
A huge thank you to our Boston & NextGen Committees, our incredible sponsors, and everyone who attended. We can’t wait to see you next year!
