Our Scars Tell a Story
Fashion model and ovarian cancer survivor Ash Foo was diagnosed with the disease at only 23 years old. In this 3-minute video, Ash takes us on her inspirational journey from going into surgery two days after being diagnosed, facing infertility at such a young age, to empowering other women and viewing her scar as a beautiful reminder of her inner strength and resilience. We are grateful to Ash for being open, vulnerable and honest in an effort to help other women facing this disease. Thank you, Ash.
“I am a very strong believer that scars tell a story about where we’ve come from and what we’ve experienced in life. I view my scar as a symbol of strength and a symbol of telling myself that if I can go through this, I can go through anything.” – Ash Foo
You were lucky my mother complained for 2 years until they said she had ovarian cancer and after suffering through surgery and chemo which in 1992 was as bad as death she passed.
